laptop blue tooth help

i forgot to mention the indicator is not on though nor do i see the turn on switch on the FN hotkeys or wireless device section

You need to find out if bluetooth was integrated on your laptop. My laptop has the bluetooth indicator and everything but I found out that it didn’t actually have bluetooth. A bluetooth chip was later installed by my boyfriend. You can find out from your manufacturer’s site whether or not bluetooth was integrated.

If it has an Indicator it has it built in :3 Well, first off actually post your laptop model, you can find most Laptop manuals online just need the model name/number and google it…. Anyway, some Lenovo, HP and dell laptops use internal switches, meaning they provide software on the Device that turns them on or off, Bluetooth is one of those things that require drivers/software, so you should have a CD with Power tools or something, install those and you will find a bluetooth indicator on your taskbar :) or just post a model number and ill send you the drivers and how to install them :)

Well… guess what? you already had the Bluetooth on your laptop but you did not have the drivers for it….oh and there is no such thing as a bluetooth chip…

Whatever that thing was called bluetooth module? And actually no my model did not have it built in. I was rather confused with it until I checked the manufacturer’s site for my laptop.

my girlfriend got this laptop from scholar for good grades and they didnt include the CD for bluetooth so i could download the drivers from a website for it? model is dell laptop latitude E6410. if you could help that would be awesome! thanks

what is the name of the update patch file? i tried this last night already and nothing work for bluetooth but there are 2 more updates that show up that i guess didnt work and downloading again
