Lapping the milk
When will a kitten switch from a bottle to lapping the milk replacer?
Usually around a month of age, once they can lick off your finger they’re pretty ready to try drinking it. I’m bottlefeeding 2 at home and they’re almost ready at almost 3 weeks of age.
You can start trying them at any age. Doesn’t mean they will get enough milk. Put a little on your finger and to the kittens mouth and back to the saucer. DO not use a deep bowl. I know I have read of kittens lapping at 3 weeks.
