When do you know you're ready to move out?

In September, I decided I wanted to move out. I am really independant and I thought I would be really happy not living at home. I wanted to still be really close to home though so there was this really nice house down the street and the room for rent was gorgeous. I was working full time and still doing my schooling, rent was really cheap and I worked out all the money and I had more then enough. My parents were okay with it, mostly because it was only like.. 2 mins away. Anyways, so I paid my first and last, all that stuff. I had some of my stuff moved in and the day before I was supposed to move in, I was talking to my parents and I completely broke down into tears and told them I didn’t want to move out anymore. I clearly wasn’t ready and I know I’m still not ready because that wasn’t long ago. Thank goodness the people I was renting from were generous enough to understand the situation and gave me my money back.

I was just wondering, when did you know you were ready to leave the nest?

well it is different for everyone but its not a bad thing living w/ your parents- it may just be you were so used to living w/ company that it felt akward and scary to be alone I would try to get one of your friends to move in w/ you and split the rent that way it would be a smaller step to working for your independance and although I am still living w/ my mom I am ok w/ it because we are friends and if you r still in school than it is actually better and safer to live w/ someone! <3 katie

well I moved out of my house recently im only 18 but im not alone I got married to this really nice awesome guy but its stilll not as good as living at home with your parents and having them pay for eveything. But also know that you at some point in life have to become dependent of yourself and not your parents. at first you will feel homesick and cry like I did lol and yes the bills are going to be hard but it will all work out.
