What would you do if someone you knew was selling their WIC baby items on craigslist for money?

A friends girlfriend that me and Chris know has been getting formula, babyfood, and baby cereal through the government program WIC and selling it for money on craigslist. Seriously p!sses me off, and its trashy.

Answer #1

I would tell her what I thought. Does she have a baby? Why isn’t she using that stuff on her own baby? I think it’s wrong, and I would tell her that. Is that even legal?

Answer #2

I would report it to WIC - that’s fraud and it costs the taxpayers.

Answer #3

I write up posts that say not to purchase certain items on post that are wic items. I post about 20 times a day. about 90% of army wives are on wic out here and they try to sell it to nonmilitary familes for money. I always took my extra cans to the wic office with me to donate it. It makes me sick how people abuse the system.

Answer #4

Report her to WIC. There are lot of family’s out there who really need the support of WIC out there to feed their children!

Answer #5

I would let her know that what she is doing is obviously wrong, and there are people that can’t even get approved for it, and she should be grateful. A family friend does that with child care. She puts a girl’s name down that the girl watches her kids, but really, she does, and collects the money. So basically, she’s getting paid to take care of her own kids. When there are parents that work 40 hours a week and have to pay for child care out of their own pocket. I can’t stand people who cheat the system because they are too lazy or greedy to do anything on their own. And us honest hard workers pay for that.
