I did not know I was pregnant and I drank the first couple of weeks, about 4 weeks into pregnacy. I stopped ofcourse as soon as I found out, I am now 24 weeks and so far all is well. But remember there is always a chance of something going wrong when drinking

Of course.

Whether you are aware of the pregnancy doesn’t matter. If you are pregnant, and drink, the chances of fetal alcohol syndrome are there. Whether you know about the pregnancy or not…

While no amount is really ‘safe’ while pregnant, many women have been through this - getting drunk only to realize they were pregnant later on.

For the most part, the baby is usually fine - if it happened only once, try not to worry too much about it. Let your doctor know, though, so they can be ready for any possibilities.
