Should I tell my friend she looks bad in skinny jeans?

she is my bff and I dont want her to get hurt. I dont really care what she looks like because shes still my bff no matter what. she going to blame me if someone calls her fat when she wears them for not telling her

yup just say something like “man your legs would lookn great in a pair of boot leg or boyfwend jeans it would really show out your…” or something like that.

Well it’s understandable you don’t want to hurt your best friend… but don’t you think it might hurt her even more if dhe finds out you didn’t tell her and just let everyone keep staring at her? And you know that some of them probably make jokes about it, I must admit I’d probably laugh if I seen someone fat in those kind of clothes. Also, when you say “chubby”… how chubby is she? If she’s not TOO bad you might just let it go for awhile but if she’s a little past just “chubby” you might want to say something. But who know’s people might be looking at her because they think she looks awesome!

Well, first you should think about why you want to tell her.

Is it because you are embarrassed of her or you want people to stop laughing (or even a little bit of both)?

Think about how you would feel if she told you that, but remember you and your friend are different people with different emotions, so she might take it differently.

If you still can’t tell her than you should just give her subtle hints. Look at some fashion magazines with her. I know for a fact 17 always has different sections for different body types.

Go shopping with her and find something that looks great on her.

tell her. I mean wouldnt you want her to tell you? but be nice about it.

I’d have to agree with brezz. Go shopping with her and help her pick out some jeans that look nice on her. Make sure when you find the right fit for her, you compliment her a whole bunch so she feels better in them. She’s probably only wearing the skinny ones because her mom or someone told her they look really good on her. Or maybe she just likes them better, and if thats the case, then she should wear what makes her feel good and not worry about what others think.

If we all wore what one person said looked good we’d look like robots wearing all the same things. Some guys find ‘chubby’ girls very sexy. Maybe it’s better to let her be herself and do what makes her feel good. Who cares if people stare. If it doesn’t bug her then it shouldn’t bug you! :)
