what are some places to stay at in Italy for me? I'm going in 4 years so I wanna be prepared, I'm going to go myself
Venice, Florence, and Rome are all interesting cities.
If you stay in Venice(on the actual island of Venice) it is very expensive and the rooms are ridiculously small due to the limited land available. It is better to stay a few miles away on the mainland and just take a boat to venice to see the attractions.
Florence is a nice city with a lot of culture... but personally I wouldnt waste staying there over night... its more of a day trip kindof place to go... like maybe while traveling from venice to rome or vice versa. Lots of famous art, good shopping, ect.
Rome is pretty awesome. The close you stay to the center the more expensive it will be. Your best bet is to stay as far from the center as possible while still managing to remain on a bus route that can take you there. Make sure you give yourself sufficient time to see Rome...its not a city that can be conquered in a few short days.
First of all, if you're going to Italy in four years, then why are you asking now? Anyway, if you're asking what city you should stay at, I would say Rome. It's the country's capital, so it would be interesting to go there.
