If it's over, why do I still care what he's saying?

Ok…it’s a long story (kinda) My boyfriend and I went out for 7months and then two days before school started he broke up with me. Which wasn’t a HUGE suprise b/c we hadn’t talked the way we used to and he didn’t seem into our relationship anymore. Anyways since the break up all of his friends come to me every day sending me messages from my X they say stuff like “He still loves you and he misses you” Okay what am I supposed 2 say back I mean I’m over him and I’m living the single life, but my X keeps popping up in the back of my head. So the question is why is he saying he still loves me and Why do I care about what he’s sayin? I mean I am happy but I guess not as happy as I thought being (single of cource!!)

You need to talk to your ex about why he’s having his friends tell you that he still has feelings for you. That is really immature on his part. I think that you need to put distance between you and your ex so that you can move on. It’s tough to do that when you keep hearing about how he still loves you.

Most likely he wants you to still care, and the fact that you have moved on and are fine with the single life, bothers him. He is trying to get a reaction from you or some kind of reassurance that you are not okay with out him. If you are really over him, tell him to stop saying stuff about you and get over you too.
