It's not 1999 anymore!

Why do people still quote the world population to be 6 billion, when in actuality it is 6.7 billion? It has been 9 years since the world population has been 6 billion and it will be seven billion in another 3 years. Don’t people care about the 700 million people on the Earth today that they are not acknowledging? Don’t these 700 million people have any rights? Shouldn’t they be acknowleged? Why are people ignoring these 700 million people. There are 6 billion, 700 million people on the planet but people are only concerning themselves with 6 billion and ignoring the other 700 million people? Why? Please give suggestions. Thank You.

ya.. I think that its just people say “six billion” instead of “six point seven billion”. its faster to say. hope that helps.

I think there’s a certain amount of years that pass by before they update statistics. Like every 10 years or something. Because it would sorta be a hassle to do it every year, ya know?? I’m sure there’s a reason.
