My thoughts have haunted me through every night Within my mind the urge to know her heart And veiled my eyes while burning candle light Enkindles fantasy my dreams do start

I wonder what it’s like to be with her Or to confide the depth of my poor soul It’s hard for me because my feelings stir The vaguest hope that I cannot control

I want to be with one whose moral fire Is authored by the scripture of satire
