Is this healthy?

I’m currently 13 years old and 5’ 2, I’m overweight at 134 pounds. To combact that, because I hate being fat, I am cutting back the size of everything I eat and I excersize. I want to weigh 119 by Christmas. I know that at that weight I would not be very skinny, but I would look okay. And one of my friends is 14, 5’6, and 89 pounds and SHES not anorexic. Should I go to that weight goal so maybe for once in my lifetime people would think I’m skinny?

Ally xo is right but dont completly cut out junk food becuase your body will crave it and the last thing you want is to be on a diet lost some weight craved oreos or soming and you end up eating loadsa of junk food as a result have a select day of the week as a reward day say Sunday and you CAN have oreos or soming as a treat but in Moderation Hope I helped

well…yeahh…just dont get tooo skinny I’m 13 and I weigh 80 and im a girl I’m just short you are tall…

Don’t lose too much - because a good weight for your height is between 101 and 136lbs. Which means yeah, you could lose a bit of weight, just don’t go overboard. Because you aren’t really overweight to begin with, cutting it close though. You just need to start eating more healthy and stay active as much as possible.

I think that the first goal you mentioned- to be around 119 is much much much safer, realoistic and attractive than trying to be too thin. I used to be around the weight that your friend is and it was anorexia. I would keep a close eye on him/her if I were you. Trust me you almost definately wouldn’t like to be as thin as that. You have no curves, no shape, no energy, you are cold all of the time, you look pale and gaunt and you have to eat next to nothing to stay that horrible weight. (Unless you have a very fast metabolism and are naturally that weight) And metabolism is not something that anyone should try to change, it is what your body decides is healthy for you. I think that 119 pounds is a good, attractive, slim weight and is very much attainable with healthy eating and exercise.

I am 13 and 5”6 and I weigh about the same as you, but dont worry about it, your not over weight at all!!! Your friend is a smaller build than you and it WOULD look horrible if you were her weight ! Dont look at the scale, its probably just your muscle content making you feel bigger. I would say just make sure you are eating breakfast as it helps weight loss, and drink lots of water because it stops you eating huge portions, but be honest, you are a perfect weight !!! :)
