When my mum asked me what I was going to eat for dinner and I said I wasn't hungry she said that I had done quite well today because I had eaten soup (weightwatchers of course) and half a portion of normal rice. is that good that she has said that?
Your mom is praising you because you ate the soup and rice which the rice in my opinion, is very nutricious. So, I think that by your mom saying, that you did good today shows that she's proud of you and wants you to keep up your diet. Keep it up and make your mom more proud.
what I think is she let it slip out, I would not say that to anyone, because that reinforces bad eating habits, just ignore it and try not to let it affect you
sorry I forgot to say I have an eating disorder and normally dont even eat that, so surely through here saying it, it would be seen as encouragement?

oh yeah in that case I think shes being a good mother by encouraging you, and shes trying to help you not hurt you.
