Is this considered running from my problems?

I am in a situation where I have the opportunities for college, and setting my life on a good track before me, but I am treated like crap. I live with my fiancee’s mom and she has helped me get away from drugs and many things and helped me greatly but I am treated like a slave and like a piece of poop a lot. I miss my family in NM and I am tired of being treated this way. I am also in fear of being manipulated. I want to leave but if I go live with my family I will be in a situation where I am surrounded by daily drama and drugs, and alcohol. But I know I can still make it to college and have help. However, if I talk to the person I live with now about this, I know she will not see it. I have said things about the way I get treated and my treatment gets worse. I am made to feel like I am wrong and stupid. If I go home to where no one cared what the hell I did but still pursue what I want out of life than doing it at my current place am I still running from my problems? I have had problems with this in the past and I don’t want to be running from another problem. I want to fix my situation, but I don’t want to stay here because I know the person I am staying with will not change. This person is much to set in their ways. So what is this?

Answer #1

you might want to consider strting collage and then see what new options have opened for you .. like getting a dorm room? moving in with collage friends .. see if you have a chance to avoid settleing for either of those two choices … amybe there is a trird out there …look for it.

Answer #2

You lack discipline.

If you’re unhappy where you are, then go home and go to college as you said you would.

Certainly everything you had problems with in the past will still be there, but it’s up to you to steer clear of it. Nobody can force your hand…you have to make the decisions that matter, and if your life means anything to you, then you’ll stay strong through it all…a short path to living a successful life.
