Is there a way to get my period back?

I used to be anorexic (for about a year, maybe less) , so I don’t think I have my periods anymore. Is there any way to get it back? I haven’t had a period in a year. It would be kinda weird to tell my doctors how long ago it was. :-\

Answer #1

I was bulmic for 6 months.lost a ton of weight 3 months after my recovery.and gained it all back now. its been two years… havnt had my period since and havnt told anyone either.

I just learned today that it might have something to do with too much testosterone. I know expecially women who have high testosterone tend to be bulimic. high testosterone causes excess body hair.irregular (or maybe no) periods and stuff like that

so maybe look into that

Answer #2

talk to a gynocologist, I had to discuss my period problems and I hadnt had one in 3 years so dont worry about feeling awkward. there is a drug to induce a period called provera, this is not the b/c depo provera, the provera is used strictly to start and stop periods, whichever the problem may be

Answer #3

Ok, I’m at a healthy weight right now…

I just dont want it to be awkward when I say things to my doctor about this!

And besides- I might actually want a baby when I’m older.

Answer #4

mhm. of coarse there is a way to get it back just get back to eating, your period has a lot to do with your weight. so when your body is back to a healthy weight youll probably get it back

unless your prego. (:

Answer #6

Your doctors have heard worse, so it won’t be weird. Talk to them.

Answer #7

Your Doctor has heard worse, talk to a nurse thats what I’d do or a female doctor/nurse
