Is Pericing your lip yourself dangerous?

Would it be okay to let my friend peirce me lip? she has peirced her own. I just don’t want to pay a lot of money for a tatto place when my friend can do it…but I want to do it the cleanest way. Does it matter??

NO, it WOULDN’T be ok AT ALL. The people saying stuff like “there’s no risks” and “it’s ok” are complete idiots! DO NOT listen to them! You DON’T pierce ANYTHING yourself. Piercings are meant to be done PROFESSIONALLY… no matter what. If you pierce it yourself, chances are you’ll end up with infections, it won’t heal up correctly, and you probably won’t even pierce it right to begin with. Don’t listen to ANYONE giving you tips on how to do this yourself. Seriously, they’re full of sh*t. They’re NOT professionals and they DON’T know what they’re doing. Neither do you for that matter. If they would claim to be a professional piercer, ignore them because they’re lying. If they were truly a professional, they’d be saying “DON’T EVER do ANY piercing yourself. ALWAYS get your piercings done by a PROFESSIONAL like myself”.

Listen to my advice, I know what I’m talking about. You WILL regret doing it yourself and you’ll be wishing like hell you would have gotten it done professional. It’ll be well worth the price and you won’t be sorry, I promise. By getting it done professionally, you will KNOW it’s done right and you will have a VERY LOW risk of infection if you care for it properly that is. So seriously, DON’T DO IT YOURSELF. Get it done by a PROFESSIONAL.

Answer #2

I think it would be safer to get it done at an actual place were they do peircings, because if you get your friend to do it, it could get infected or something could go wrong etc.

Answer #3

There’s always a risk involved, even when having it done by a professional (which I honestly recommend).

Just make sure you fully understand that if something goes wrong, there’s nobody who can be made liable for it.

Answer #4

come on, dont be an idiot and your friend isnt good at anything just because she stabbed a hole in here lip and got a ring through it that doesnt make here a profesional and that doesnt mean she has any idea of what shes doing dont let some idiot pierce it and if you cant be bothered to get a hole in your flesh professionally pierced you shouldn’t be getting one AT ALL a piercing is a wound and there’s a lot more to piercing than just stabbing yourself with a needle or getting someone else to stab you with one

Answer #5

no risks? are you serious? there are many risks piercing yourself or having a friend do it. do you know how many swollen lips and other body areas due to at home piercings I have seen in the last 6 years? (I am a professional piercer and tattoo artist.) yes, some people have good luck with them but to say there are not that many risks is just plain stupid. if you want it done safe without much worry go to a professional.

Answer #6

piercing your lip at home doesn’t have many risks that are life threatning, I mean there are the basic ones such a an infection which you can treat. if you want to believe in all that other s**t they try to scare you with, such as hepatitis b and whatnot then don’t do it but in my opinion if you keep everythin being used clean and sterile then there shouldn’t be no problems. I should know I have my lip pierced and tongue done by myself at home an thinkin of doin my eyebrow too

Answer #7

Just because your friend was successful once, doesn’t mean she will be if she does yours. Maybe she will do fine. That’s a chance that you will be taking. If you get an infection or something, you’ll have to pay for the medical bills not to mention pain and any suffering. You’ll probably be okay as long as your friend steralizes everything with alcohol and I mean everything. You can ask for advice about this, but ultimately, you have to decide. Just weigh it out and do what you think is best. If I were you, I wouldn’t let money be a factor because you may be saving money by her doing it, but you could be spending a lot of money if something goes wrong. If you want another opinion, I would say to have it done by a professional. That’s all I have to say. Best of luck to you.
