I'm black and I'm not like the other Black girl example I listen to rock,punk,reggea and like I'm really tall and I dont wear clothes like what I see the black girls like baby phat,I'm just really weird in a good way , but mostly the black kids would always try to pick on me because I'm like a straight a student and I'm different Do you think being different is good or bad??dont take this question offensive please
No, if everyone was the same, life would be boring! Think of singers. If everyone sang like Britney Spears, how boring would that be? Or if anyone dress the same way, fashion wouldn't be as 'important'. Being different isn't always easy, but who said LIFE is easy? Everyone is different already! We all come from different families, have different dreams & Beliefs, etc.
Seriously, you said you get all A's? You couldn't be too indifferent, you're not the only straight A smart student there are you? And if you were SO WHAT, how cool would that be, being the smartest student? No one can take your intellect away. :)

I'm black, too. I mainly listen to hip-hop and R&B, but I also like some punk, rock, metal, and country songs. It's good to be different. You should be proud to be different, too. I don't dress like the other black girls in my school and it doesn't bother me. Just be yourself and if people don't like it, then they are not worth your time.
Look, Im black too. I listen to rock, metal, punk,hip hop,and all that, I usually dress in band t's, jeans and converses all the time. Its just the way I am except I dont have all straight A's like you (lol). All my friends like me for who I am. So no, it definately is not bad to be different.
I think it's hard being different, and it makes certain things more difficult, but it is who you are, and being who you are is the most important thing... Who cares if people don't like it? at the end of the day you only have to be able to live with yourself and your own standards...
theres nothing wrong with being different. in todays society though a lot of people tend to look down upon people who are different. but a lot of people also like people who are different. you cant please everyone, so dont try. just stay true to yourself and accept the consequences.
well I think that being different id FANTASTIC do you just want to blend in or be noticed... I am only 13 but yeah I dont care what others think & well you shouldnt either their opinion doesnt/shouldnt matter what sooo ever urs is the only that counts=)
NO! thts awesome! this is horrible to say but im NOT racist or anything some of my best friends are black, I am intimidated by black girls who dress and act all ghetto & stuff & I feel like they dont like me just because im white.

Don't worry if people say something about it. Some people think people should look and act a certain way. Life would be boring if everyone was the same.

I think it's wonderful that your different... Don't try to be anybody you aren't! Just because you get all A's and you don't dress like them doesn't mean your weird!!!
Never just be yourself.Never mind what that other girl is always doing.At least you act more mature then her being yourself.
Being different it's not wrong, it's not important to do what others do just be what you are and do what you like ;)

Definatly not wrong at all! But... In today's society it really comes down to the people...
being different is cool. it adds diversity, change, and, in a weird way, unity to the world.
