Is it right or wrong to like him?

Ok So Let Me Set The Scene. I Turned 18 in july, and I like A Friend Who Is 17 Next July. Making Him 16 Now. We Get on really well and he doesnt even look 16 he looks older than me. (I look quite young for my age) Thing is he used to go out with a mate, whos my best friends younger sister. that isnt the problem as she probably wont be fussed as they had a huge fall out with what she did to him. The Issue is is it wrong for me to like this lad? I mean im 18 and he is 16, (would be suprised if you seen him you would serve him in a shop).

im from the UK. And I’ve been out with a 24 year old before its acceptable to date older lads, but im not sure whether this is ok in this case because he is younger

I would say no. Its only a 2 year age difference, and also (at least around here) it is much more socially acceptable for an older girl to date a younger guy than vise-versa. Although by the sounds of of how you talk you are not in the US, so might be different around there.

My friend (23) is engaged to a girl that is 18 - so a 5 year difference and I see not thing wrong with that.
