Is it normal to bleed after sex?

I was wondering if its normal to bleed after you have sx..A few years ago, me and my ex had sx before we broke up, and my new boyfriend and I had s*x and now im bleeding a lot..is it normal or what??

You should probably go see a doctor.. you might just be hurt because you havent done it in a while.. or you could have a tear of something. Id get it checked out. : )

You’re not supposed to bleed during sx, but it’s not uncommon either. Bleeding is usually a result of tears in the vgina caused by the vgina not being lubricated enough before sx starts. These tears can actually bleed quite a bit sometimes. Lack of lubrication may also cause pain, discomfort, redness, or swelling. If you do not already use a lubricant, you can get water-based lubricants at the store and see if that helps.

However, bleeding during s*x can sometimes be a sign of a bigger problem. So this is something you should mention to you ob-gyn just in case, especially if you notice the problem even when you use a lubricant.
