Is it important for a man to take his girlfriend for dinner?

For a man to take her girlfriend out to dinner? Sometime? Becoz my ex never use to take me out not even when we met. When we split up he use to tell me how he takes other woman out to nice retaurants and buy them stuff he always talked good about them always use to say im no good compare to them should I feel bad about myself just because of that?

absolutly not … no way no how, hes saying it because you wanted it (wined and dined). he didnt want to break up with you and because youre adiment that you dont want to be with him hes trying to hurt you.

hes hurting right now as he knows hes screwed up and lost you through lack of care so hes gone into dog eat dog mode. if he carrys on say to him

“im sorry youre hurting right now I didnt want to cause you pain but I have to do whats right for me im sorry but at this time you are not right for me .”

dont let him make you feel bad, you have a right to be loved they way you need to be loved, you tried to explain to him what it was you needed the expression you can lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink comes to mind.
