My son has a friend who knew another kids myspace password and they got into it and changed it around as a joke. Isn't this illegal?
I think they have a warning somewhere not to share passwords because it compromises the security of the account. The kid whose account was messed with should be more careful with his passwords. It's his responsibility, therefore I don't think someone logging into the account and changing it can be considered illegal because he's the only one that could allow it, by not protecting its security...?
Unless the kid gave out his password, it is illegal...like toadaly said - it's a Federal Hacking Crime.
Its not allowed due to the myspace rules but, it's not illegal, myspace contract rules aren't the law.
Anything that can be construed as hacking is a federal crime.
