EIU is a solid school, but I wouldnt say that its one of the best public universities in Illinois. Obviously, University of Illinois is hands down the best school, but it is more expensive. Illinois State’s also a really good school. Many people who dont want to pay the higher tuition of you of I choose ISU because its still a really good education for the money. But I’d say EIU is pretty much at the same level education wise as the other directional schools in the state: WIU, NIU, SIU.
