is canada viewed as a "hockey" nation?

english… we have to write an entire essay about hockey, yes im from canada and I have to write mine on “is canada viewed as a “hockey” nation?”

so this seems like the DUMBEST question on the face of the earth I KNOW! -but I have no choice but to answer it, before first block tomrrow, please helpme! :)

just wanted to hear all of your thoughts, since this site has people from all over the world.. thanks in advanced =)

Yea, Canada is definitely a hockey nation, very dedicated fans to the sport. A lot of Canadians come to Florida in the winter and there are many sports bars that cater to them. When a hockey game is one you can hear the cheers two blocks away, yea, you’re pretty crazed over the sport, like Pittsburgh is to the Steelers.

As an American, who is incredibly ignorant of sports…sure, I’d say Canada is a “hockey” nation. Why? Because most of the sports I see / hear about that Canada is involved in are…hockey events :)
