I’ve never had complications from it.. only time I kinda did I guess is when I first started using it, my b*obs hurt like crazy but im guessing that was just the hormons cause it went away.. anyways can someone please reply =(

Answer #1

Yes it is safe, you have to remember she is talking about the 80’s here. Tons of medical research has been done since then and birth control is way different than back in the day.

Think about this: In the past, they actually used to put lead crosses in woman’s uterus to stop them from concieving (primative birth control), it obviously didn’t work though.

Answer #2

Actually, that’s not really true, either. For a lot of women, it is effective, albeit in a strange way. The copper cross irritates the tissue, which causes scar tissue to form, which blocks sperm from entering the uterus.

Answer #3

Actually, unless you’re talking about WAY back in the past, they didn’t use lead crosses, they used copper crosses, which are mostly safe unless you have an allergic reaction.

Answer #4

Oh yes, it was copper, I forgot. I didn’t say it wasn’t safe though, I just said it wasn’t effective.

Answer #5

Bear in mind this was in the 80s. Medical research has come a long way from then.

Birth control pills are safe, in fact studies have shown that women who take it for around 10 years reduce their risk of developing ovarian cancer. The one drawback to taking the contraceptive pill is that, in some rare cases, it can cause blood clots. Thats why your doctor takes your blood pressure every time you need a new prescription, to make sure you’re safe and healthy.

Tender breasts is a very common side effect, as well as acne breakouts, but both calm down over time. In fact, the contraceptive pill can also be the answer for some girls who suffer from chronic cases of acne.

If you’re still concerned, you could always switch to the tried and true, condoms and water based lubricant.

Answer #6

It is completely safe. I take it once a day, everyday. I take Yaz.

Answer #7

birth control is VERY SAFE

an in the 80s well, they probobly improved the pill so that doesnt happen
