Ipod loudness??

OMG, im listining to my ipod, and it can get REALLY loud, btw, im listinging to slipknot, so obvously it loud, but is there a problem with my headphones? because as im listining to it on full blast, I hear a lot of static…should I just change my EQ, or buy new hps?

If you hear static it is probably because you have the volume up so high that you are getting distortion. I like my music pretty loud as well but I usually keep the volume level below where I get distortion.

Some headphones are more efficient than others. You could be using headphones that simply require more power than your iPod can produce. With reasonably efficient headphones I can get the volume on my iPod loud enough to endanger my hearing without noticeable distortion.
