It actually started with henna. Egyptians used henna as nailpolish and even Cleopatra and Queen Nefertit did. The Chinese then invented a remedy in about 3000BC with arabic gum, egg whites, gelatin and beeswax. Then the ancient Chinese and Egyptians started using that remedy. It's not known who the exact person who invented it was though.
it was first used by both the Egyptians and the Chinese. the Chinese used colored lacquer made from gum arabic, egg whites, gelatin, and beeswax. They took a smashed rose, orchid, and impatien petals mixed with alum. in the Chou dynasty (600BC) Chinese royalty used gold and silver
The Egyptians did....they used an ink or dye from a plant called Henna...they used this (the wealthy, royalty) to show power and respect....the women who used this often first.....included Cleopatra and other queens...Hope this helps
Why do they call it Nail Polish and not Nail paint? How come you say I am gonna paint my nails and not I am gonna polish my nails?
