i remember it cus i used it back in the days of msn and yahoo games which is over 10 years ago now. i dont think anyone knows the exact 1st time it was ever typed so it cant be traced back to the original route. but i can remember at 1 point only using L to shorten laffs and this would be going back to the audiogalaxy days which would be around 12 years ago now. i can tell you this much... it was 1st used in chatrooms. nowadays acronyms are having the pee taken out of them and to be honest i dont know what 90% of teh rubbish means now. they should all be lined up against a wall and shot
"LOL" has been around for a very long time.. i think it goes way too far back to pin point exactly who started it
i first saw it like 5 yrs ago when i was addicted to maple story.. not anymore tho.
I don't think anybody knows, I first found out about it 3 years ago on MySpace.
