Lines makes shapes but if the lines aren't complete, would the shape still be a shape? :{ for instance, a O is a circle, but what if its a semi circle, would it be a shape or lines? Any help please?
If you draw a shape, but you don't close off the line, aka going all the way until the two ends meet, then you have an incomplete shape. A line is simply a line. _________ l l l l l l l ________ l
Now just pretend the annoying _ _ _ on the sides are filled in...

What you are describing as an incomplete line is actually an incomplete shape. The line, as a line, is complete. But as a shape, it is not. Nevertheless, there is enough of the line to call the shape to mind. The line does not fully constitute the shape, but it does suggest it. That's why it leaves you with the question of whether the shape would "still be a shape" or not. The shape is not fully present on paper (or screen), but it is clearly present in your mind.
So basically what you meant is that an incomplete shape would be a shape in our mind as because our mind have the idea of it?
If you have a square with one side missing it would not be a square or any shape for that matter.
Exactly, even when its physical representation remains incomplete.

Part of a line would be a ray, or a segment...
But they do name it like 'semi-circle' :/
i think it would just be a shape
It would be a shape and a line.
Thank you very much guys :)
