In love with one of my best friends

Ok so I have known one of my best frends for just over 2 years, I never really noticed how much I was ‘in love’ with him since the beginning of this year, I have always had a crush on him, ever since I met him, but I never really had the guts to tell him so. Now quite recently I finaly had the guts to tell him how I felt, that was after doing the small questions like if I ever asked what wud you say? and he said probably yes, then when I broke up with my boyfriend he said he was a jackass I wud never leave u, its when he says things like that, that make me love him more, I finally asked him out and he said he’ll think about it, a week later, during that week gettin bck with my boyfriend, and then the same day of him dumping me, he said ‘ I’m sorry I cant go out with u, im sorry if its made your day so much worse but sorry’ I asked him why and he said he just doesnt feel the same way and that it took him so long to answer because he wasnt sure if he felt that way. But what made me more upset, was that when he found out I liked him, he asked how long I had and then said that he liked me too, but when I ask him out he shuts me down, it was really confusing and heartbreaking, now we have had a long gap of about 2-3 months of not mentioning this and I am finally making another go but this time not doing it myself just incase. I really like him and people have been sayin how cute we look together and are we going out and stuff, so all I ask if for some of you to help me out with whether knowing if he does like me, preferably boys because I need a boys opinion on how he boys react when they like someone. thnx
