The ibuprofen only hides the pain and actually makes you heal slower, so the problem gets worse. Try to go easy on the joints and rely on ibuprofen as little as possible if you want it to heal. The most common cause of tendonitis is overuse.

You can try some Pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup) with tendon in it to get the nutrients to rebuild your tendons. Calcium, vitamin D (or a little sunlight to make your own), and oil can also help your body make your own tendon material. Cod liver oil will supply vitamin D and oil, plus I think it’s been shown to help joints, tendons, etc. 1 tsp. per day I think. 1/4 cup of sesame seeds per day will supply calcium and oil; grind it in a blender so you can digest them then sprinkle it on something or add something to sweeten it up and have it plain. Olive oil or salad dressing oil are good too. Don’t bother with calcium supplements, they’re just barely digestable plaster. Yuck. Vitamin C might also help with healing, I dunno.
