How would I go about getting my images/clipart out onto the web, so when someone searches Google images it pops up?

the google bots will find it, you need do nothing else once their uploaded ;)

Technically you can’t just put photos in Google images. Those images on google are gathered the same way as search results are for Google, by their “crawlers” that watch the sites and collecting data. The reason the photos appear in Google Images is because people uploaded these photos on to their blogs, on their own websites, or on any site that allowed them to upload photos and be viewed publicly. If you noticed, when you click a photo, the website where it came from is usually there too. In other words, you do not submit images to Google so it will appear in Google images, but instead you upload these photos on websites that allow you to share the photos publicly. Does that make sense? Then when Google spider “crawls” on the web page where you put the image, it will index the image you uploaded there, & it would appear in the search results (…this is likely to happen if the image you uploaded has a file name that is descriptive or an image description when you uploaded it to the site).
