Hey Guys. I would really appreciate your input (from both guys & girls). My friend has started up a magazine which will be both produced & distributed locally in my area. It is a magazine which is mainly about cars but will also have pictures of girls and articles directed at guys (like a typical men's magazine but with less porn). I have been asked to contribute by writing an article on anything I deem suitable (as he knows I love to write). I have thought of the obvious things like 'How to pick up a girl in a club' or 'what to do on a first date' but I feel these topics have been done to death. Can anyone suggest topics to write about that guys would find interesting?? It would really help me. I have 4 weeks to complete this but I want to ge started ASAP. Thanks :)
Yea I could write about men's fashion - DEATH TO GUYS WHO INSIST ON WEARING SKINNY JEANS lol. I was thinking of writing something just from a girl's perspective, like our observations of the weird things men do. Like how they think it's a great idea to yell and whistle at a girl when they drive past them - like seriously what do they expect us to do? Chase after them and throw our phone number at them? Or talk about how we don't understand a guy's obsession with cars and car parts and discussion of these things in great detail even if a clearly uninterested girl happens to be present? OR how some guys talk WAY too much about their ex girlfriends/wives. First and second dates are kind of like interviews. You are supposed to be selling yourself. We don’t want to hear about how badly your last relationship ended and all your other emotional baggage. That comes later when I’ve decided whether or not we can be bothered dealing with your problems.
I'm still thinking of things...
BUT I don't want to risk going off on too much of a b*tchy tangent and sounding like a bitter girl who hasn't actually had much luck with guys, haha (tis true, I'm hopeless.) So yea, this is proving difficult...
Hi Intense, there's lots of ideas for articles for a guys magazine, you're right , dating tips have been done to death, but fun pick up lines are always a laugh, even if they're never going to be used except in fun, there's hundreds on the web, pick out the best, be a DVD & movie reviewer/critic, guys are always on the lookout for tips on what to watch, we also love new gadgets on the market, maybe you'll pick up a few freebies for advertising, maybe even a dating service, where you can pick the best.( editors perks).
