Is it like illegal for a 17 year old to date a 13 year old? Cuz I'm trying to tell someone it is but he doesnt believe me.

It’s not illegal to be dating someone. It is illegal to be having sex with them. And seriously, dont take those laws lightly. My friend works with teen sex offenders. Even if the sex is consensual, the older person can go to jail, be labelled a sex offender (believe me, that doesnt go away), and have their life ruined.

It is not illegal unless one of the partners is an Adult. The legal age of having sex is at age 16, also.

So did I. But apparently not. Maybe it is a Florida law, but I wouldnt count on it. There’s 16 and 15 year olds who end up in juvie because they had sex with their 15 and 14 year old girlfriends.
