If I fail my GCSE Math, will I be held back a year in College?

I’m not too sure what I really want to do in the future, but for now, I want to do a BTEC art course in college. I need 4 GCSEs at grade C and I’ve already got A-C’s in English, Science and ICT- it also looks like I will be able to get an A to B grade in Art, French and English Lit. I did Higer Tier for the first 2 modules in maths and got a C, but for the last module I did not understanfd a thing and got stuck doing foundation; I’m really worried that if I fail my maths GCSE I will have to be held back a year in College. I don’t really know the ins and outs of college, so could someone please explain to me what would happen if I fail maths.

Answer #1

you may be able to retake your maths just ask one of your teachers

Answer #2

If you fail a college course, you have to re-do it in order to get your diploma … you can’t graduate if you have a fail.
