I really like this guy at my school and today he came on msn and we talked a little bit, it’s the first time since I talked to him since the school year started and I almost asked him out but I decided not to. Do you think I would seem desperate if I asked him out?

obviously you have strong feelings for him but it doesnt sound desperate. my personal approach would be ask if he would want to hang out casually? developing a small bond to start with is a good starting point. get to know each other more and then ask him out. people may not agree with me on this but a small step when it comes to people who have a strong feeling toward someone can make a big difference in feelings for each other.
