My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years now, and now that I moved away for college we live a few hours apart. We have been doing just fine for the year that I have been gone but I would like to do something nice for him when I go back home in a couple weeks and also I would like some ideas for some things I can do long distance to keep the intimacy between us going strong.
well i don't really know maybe you should be asking him, i believe in heart felt, and if it is just something that someone pulled out of a article or something than whats the point, Love is personal so if you can't think of something personal that he would really love than maybe you need too rethink the relationship? I am sure seeing you is the only thing the guy needs if he did not leave you than he must be in love,
Love is like art you will know when it's right or when its wrong it does not matter what it is, all that matters is that it means something too you.
So my "Advice" ask him what he wants? maybe tell him what you want too do, just too get the ball rolling.
If it were me, i would want too lay down in bed and watch a movie and cuddle for a bit something real personal, Because if you two have not seen each other in that long i am sure he would love just too hold you,
Long distance is hard,, But the only thing that will really work is 100% honesty, as a man there is no worse feeling than the feeling that your girlfriend is keeping something from you, it can really stress you out.
All good suggestions I can see posted here. And maybe doing something outside of your mutual comfort zone that would be a once in a lifetime thing to experience together. Maybe, if weather permits, go on a camping trip together or do some other first in an activity you can share. I once knew someone who made arrangements for renting a baloon ride (expensive) but I was told it was worth every penny in the experience and memories. LOL I like Kahili's idea for the Skype in long distance relationship ideas and maybe mailing him some "I'm thinking of you" little personal gifts, he doesn't expect and suprises him when it arrives. I think Umaroth is correct in whatever you do it should be sorounding what is the personal feel you have for each other.
I think what keeps the romance going is to never let the honeymoon stage leave your relationship. Doing cute little thoughtful things for each other, keep hugging and kissing randomly throughout the day, keep the passion alife and try new things in the bedroom along with outside the bedroom. I believe romance has lot to do with enjoying every moment you spend with them and appreciating the little things always! like say he comes to work and brings your fav drink or something like that its little but you know he was thinking of you.
Br creative, imaginative, give him something to think about! Let him know how much you miss him and always are always thinking about him. Send him an ecard from time to time. Make it juicy! Sexy, thought provoking, if he likes it when you talk dirty ( if you ). When you are on the phone, texting, do it! Send him flowers. candy, love notes via email. As they say! sky's "The sky is the lint!"
While you guys are apart you guys can send each other letters or things through the mail. You can send him pictures of yourself that he can put up by his bed and he can do the same for you. You guys can Skype each other... Send him sexy photos of yourself... Buy some lingerie before you see him next :) Cook him an awesome meal...
Romance - Just means TOGETHER ..means live together means live in beautiful environment .. means talk to each other about both of ur life .. huH !! do cuddles and kisses .. ha ha ha ha Njoyyyyy
Try role playing or fulfilling a fantasy for you him or both. Sometimes just talking about the fantasy and not even doing it can spice things up a lot in the short term.
I Will say it short and sweet Food is always the best thing like a romantic dinner where you and him can be alone
