What are some ideas for a christmas/birthday cake?

My mother’s birthday is christmas eve and her family usually forgot about her birthday because they were thinking about christmas so I want to make her a cake for both, but i’m afraid it’ll clash. Any ideas? I was also thinking about getting silly and doing a Nightmare Before Chtistmas themed cake, but I dont know if she’ll like that. I have a month to think about it. :D

Answer #1

You should get a cake that says “Happy birthday, Mom & Jesus!”

Answer #2

I’m going to make one and I don’t believe in “God” I don’t celebrate christmas for its religious aspects. That’s good thinking, though. :)

Answer #3

What about making a cake that’s birthday themed but all red and green? So like red and green balloons and writing?

Answer #4

You can make a cake that looks like a present, that works for birthdays and christmas. Here’s an example of one i’ve done, you can do it in christmas colors and add a tag that says Happy Birthday Mom.

Answer #5

You should make their favorite kind of cake and decorate it with different kinds of xmas cookies

Answer #6

Hmm, what is your mother’s style? Does she like colorful and fun, or elegant Christmas decor?

You could do a pale blue color cake, with white or silver decor…or a white and gold cake….that says “Happy Birthday Mom”.

Or, you could do a red and green cake with dots (like ornaments) all over… that says “Happy Birthday Mom” :P

The colors would represent Christmas, and “Happy Birthday Mom” would, of course, represent her birthday. :]

Answer #7

I love that idea! :O

Answer #8

Maybe I could do the first tier christmas colored “wrappy paper” designs and the second birthday themed? but im afraid it wont go together.

Answer #9

Wrapping not wrappy. What the hell?

Answer #10

It all depends on how you do it. If you stick to the same color scheme you could make it work. You could put the bottom tier with christmas designs on it and the top with birthday designs.

Answer #11

Christmas wrapping paper doesn’t have to be red and green. Gold, silver, and white are common themes, especially if you draw little trees in silver, or the bulb things that people hand on their trees. You could make the entire thing white and gold, or white and green, or white and red, and then on one of the tiers, just add something different. The birthday one could be polka dots, and the christmas one could just have little rectangles and hooks added on so they look like the ornament ball things, plus little trees to make it a little more obvious.
