I really want to get my tongue pierced but im scared it will hurt too much or ill go to the wrong piercer and they won't do it properly my brother got his done and said that it hurts wayyy too much and told me not to get it done because its too painful. should I or shouldnt I?
Whether you get one or not is 100% up to you. It's your choice. If someone else doesn't like it, oh well. It's none of their buisness. If you really want one, that's fine. There's nothing to be afraid of at all. The piercer will know what they're doing, they've gone to school for this kind of stuff so they know where to and not to pierce. That's why it's ALWAYS best to go to a professional - then it's done right and you won't cause serious damage to yourself. Keep in mind that if your under 18, you'll need a parent/legal guardian to go with you when you have it done so that they can sign forms/agree to everything. The pain will depend on what your pain tolerance is. It's not going to be unbearable and will be over faster than you think. As long as you have it done by a professional and you properly care for it, you won't have any issues with it and it'll turn out exactly how it's supposed to. Ignore anyone who says stupid stuff about it. Tongue piercings AREN'T trashy/sluttly/sleazy... NO piercing is. They don't make you any more or less attractive than you already are and have nothing to do with your sexual orientation. And you CAN still get a job, so ignore anyone who says otherwise because they're wrong.

I got mine done. It's one of the only (5) piercings out of 25 that I don't regret. It only hurts the day after, but it's so worth it. I want to do it again but I still have it pierced so I'll probably get a second one soon.
its up to you but the pain isnt unbearable however, do make sure its something you actually want if your going to get it not just because its "cool", everyone else has one, you think people will like you more, ect
Be careful about where you get it done - If they don't do it right and pierce the nerve in your tongue, your face can become partly paralysed.
