I think you should research google and find out about Dogs, there are over 400 breeds and they are all very hard to pick from. You also need to buy a dog that would fit the conditions of your house and family, if your yard is too small for a Dog like a Golden Retriever (Reseacrh these breeds on google if you’ve never heard of them) or German Shepherd consider getting a small dog Breed like a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, or Yorkshire terriers. Don’t worry there are many other breeds besides those. And if you and your family are not energetic people then you should get a dog that wouldn’t need much exercise, meaning definitely not a working Dog. If you have a big yard, can afford to walk your Dog very often and are prepared to give your Dog lots of activities to do like Agility Course, or something like that you could consider getting a German Shepherd, Golden Retriver or Border Collie (Other Dogs like that too). You don’t have to give lots activities like Agility too :) As long as you give them plenty of exercise and Love. Because these are my favourite breeds I would suggest for a small yard or unnenergetic people you could get a Pembroke Welsh Corgi, for energetic people and a big yard a German Shepherd, or Australian Kelpie. I would strongly suggest Pembroke Welsh Corgis, as they are cute and adorable, not too small, not too big, they don’t need A LOT of exercise and that they are just great companians. Heres a picture of what they look like when they are a puppy :) Send my mail on what type of Dog you end up getting, or if you can’t or so. Also look on Googlr images to see what puppy Pembroke Welsh Corgis look like :) They are really cute, I own one myself his name is Balto! He is well trained and very a very nice companian. I hope you do take a look at what a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. :)

a lab or basset hound. also show your parents you are responsible enough to care for a dog that will get them thinking.then start looking. I would get a dog from the pound because they are sweet, loving and gentle trust me. you just have to look. and getting a dog from the poung would be saving one dogs life. :)

Maybe you and your parents could go together to a local animal shelter, and fall in love with a dog there that needs a loving home. :)
