You don’t. You’ve done your part as a friend. He will either believe you or he won’t. Just be a soft place to land when he realizes you weren’t lying.

Well my dear, tell him something she had on that day. you shouldnt know her wardrob like he does! but at the same time it doesnt make since he woulnt believe his freind! what have you done in the past to make him not honor your word? and you have done nuthing but been a great and loyal freind, than maybe your not as close as you thought yall were!

theres only 2 reason why he wouldn’t believe you. one would be that he doesn’t want to believe it. And two would be he has some reason to suspect you of wanting them to break up. whether its you don’t like his girlfriend and he knows that or whatever. I’d be pissed though. just ask him why he thinks you would lie about it, be sincere and take it from there, by the end of the conversation he should believe you.

If you told that once you did more than you should have done. So it is more than enough. Everyone has to live his/her own life.
