well you could tell them that the key to wearing makeup is to make it look like your not wearing it. try to make a deal with them like if you find something that ou can never find make a deal like if I find it you will let me buy like mascara and do stuff like that it might help. hopefully they will reason good luck!

Aww babes well you’re parents care about you a lot you must remember that anyway makeup… what can I say… I wouldn’t wear makeup at 12 if I was you because you have to be atleast older then 12 because you have to show you’re parents you’re machure enough to put it on properly not slap it all on because makeup like foundation and all gives you spots trust me been there done that but if you think you are ready to wear it properly then just try and show them you are a machure young adult and you can handle all this by you’re self and if you do that then maybe they will let you get your ears pierced earlier…

ok type back :)

Don’t worry! I’m 15 and I only got my ears pierced a few months ago… I know this sounds difficult, but just because your friends wear make-up it doens’t mean you have to or that their any prettier. You’re only 12 and you have plenty of time to waste applying make-up throughout your life. Seriously, once you start wearing make-up you feel you have to wear it all the time- just tell your parents that you’ll only wear it very subtley- a few strokes of mascara, a dash of lip gloss- then as you get older you can begin to add eyeliner and eyeshadow.

ill admitt when I was 12… I went through a phaze where I experimented with make up…its natural in this day in age…but dont rush to grow up…

.if you desperately want to wear it I would suggest getting some knowledge on it first… how to apply it,,how to remove it…what brands/colours suit you best..

play around with it… and by the time youve experimented properly you will be old enough to wear it anyway…and when you do start wearing it…it will look nice and be done proplerly..you will know exactly what your doing… instead of it all being slapped on unevenly with 10 tonnes of eye liner because you dont have a clue what your doing…

remember when you wear make up.. you dont want to hide anything…you just want to enhance your features :)

mkay, sweetie, listen to me now. im 12 and I have been wearing makeup since I was 10. I had to figure it out all on my own and experiment with it. but my mom and dad have five kids in the house, and my being the only girl (also second oldest and the two oldest were the only ones that didnt still sleep in my parents’s bed) I was really independant in everything I did girl wise. My parents never paid me any mind when I was wearing it, (they really hardly acknowledged me during my first ten years, they were so busy with my younger brothers) that when I asked my mom if I could get my ears peirced after my dad went to jail she stepped back and looked at me funny, and then said, “You’re wearing makeup!” It sucked because that was when I went through the whole makeup thing with her. For a time I couldn’t wear it, so this is what I did:

At first I put it on in the bathroom in the mornings before school started. When I grew tired of that, I told my mom I’d wear it if I bought it, and to this day I have to buy my own makeup in order to wear it. So I recommend that deal first, and if worst comes to worst, do the whole school thing. Just remember to wash it off after school. :]

The ear peircing thing can’t slip by your parents, and it took the silent treatment for a week before my mom let me get mine done. She thought she was punishing me by doing so because she was sooo sure id get an infection, but if you take care of them it shows how responsible you r and thats a bonus for the future. :D

wow. well im 16 and when I was 12 I wasn’t realy interested in wearing makeup even when everyone else was. BUT IF I WERE YOU I WOULD WAIT JUST A LITLE MORE TIME, obviously they don’t want you looking all pretty to attract more guys. ITS HOW PARENTS ARE. bring postive things about wearing makeup (if you can come up with ones). AND WHEN YOU TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT MAKE SURE TO ACT MATURE. say something like “im going to be a teenager soon and I just want to explore this side…”.. haha .. I know it doesn’t sound right.. but something like that.

I HOPE THIS HELPS

Answer #9

OMG! I have THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM! (except my ears are pierced) Ok so for the make up thing talk to your mom about it and tell her that you don’t want anything crazy but maybe just some mascara and lip gloss and maybe like if you get any zits stuff to cover that… And for your dad (Mine is really protective to…) What your dad don’t know won’t hurt him!!

Answer #10

I can only wear foundation for very special events (though I really need it), lip gloss, and a little light eye shadow to smooth everything out.

But I don’t like how I look, and I’m not old enough to drive or buy everything myself. :/

Good luck!

Answer #11
