I am subtracting 32.9 million and 37.0 million taking that number which I got 4.1 and dividing it by the original amount which is 32.9

and I am getting the wrong awnser

am I doing the problem all wrong or am I doing the math part of it wrong?

Please help thank you very much :)

Answer #1

formula for percent change is (new reading - old reading)/old reading.

New is 37 Old is 32.9

37-32.9=4.1 4.1/32.9=0.1246 Make that a percent, 12.46

Answer #2

I got 12.46% but I’m most likely doing the math COMPLETELY wrong. usually I’m good at math but I am unsure of how to solve this problem. sorry.

Answer #3

You got the right awnser could you explain to me the best you can about what you did?
