What's the best way to get rid of acne?

I use a cotton ball to wipe a thin layer of warm salt water over my face every night. It’s the best thing I’ve ever used. Just let it sit and then rinse off with cold tap water.

Okay… there’s lots of treatments out there. I’ve heard that “Pro-active” stuff works, although I’ve never tried it personally.

I found what worked quite well for me is when my doctor prescribed me the oral contraceptive for my acne. The first month, my acne got worse, but then it almost completely disappeared. I’m not saying this is what you should do, but you can talk to your doctor about medicines to help (like accutane).

Personally, to prevent breakouts, I wash my face with warm water and a clean flannel every night, and then I put a thin layer of tea tree lotion on my face. It doesn’t smell too fantastic, but it’s a natural antiseptic, and a small amount is all it takes to make a huge difference. Plus, it’s not packed with a bunch of harsh chemicals that many cleansers use. I remember using one product (Clean and Clear foaming facial wash) that burned my face… :(

I’ve heard washing with salt water/saline solution works, but I think that’s better for things like back acne (ie: soaking in a bath of salt water), but I could be wrong.

apply lemons. yah I know it sounds silly. but all you have to do is turn on the hot water and put it all on your face to open the pores. then, put the lemons all over your face (avoid the eyes) after that wash it off with real cold water. cold water closes the pores. it really works
