Answer #2

It is selfish because it isnt in the best interest of a child who has parents… It isnt fair that your child got taken away, but you know what, are you doing what is best for the child or what is best for you? Have you heard of the old story, commonly known as the Judgment of solomon? It’s where there’s two mothers fighting over a child, and so solomon says fine, we’ll split him in half. One mother says ok, while the other says no, I do not want to hurt my child… Because that mother cared more about the child, than herself… think about it… you want to put this child in the middle of a custody battle? this child who you love? you want to hurt this child in this way?

Again, you can alway contact a lawyer… but think about it…

Answer #3

The only thing is, is maybe he should be with his biological mother, but these new adoptive parents probably love him just like you do, because they have raised him like their own. Your best bet is to contact a lawyer, and I’m very sorry to hear about what happened with your mother. It’s likely they’ll say there’s nothing you can do because it’s a CLOSED adoption, or they’ll say its an open adoption and you may beable to fight for custody, however if you’re not stable enough to raise this child they will not grant you custody.

Answer #4

I am not selfish I been looking for my son for 11years I didn’t know I would never see him I pray everday that he is ok but I miss him my aunt lied to an now she act like she don’t know nothing I know 11years is a long time but when you love something an its takeing away from you it hurts but it make you fight harder. I didn’t have a mother or father.I watch my mother get killed an never know my father I never want the same for my son But thank you for your help an answer.

Answer #5

You want to now disrupt his life with the parents he’s known all his life after 11 years? Sorry, but that sounds selfish… As for the legal part, contact the place you put him up for adoption and find out what the laws are… And you’re not likely to get legal custody back… the courts do what is best for the kid… and that would be staying with the parents he’s known his entire life…

Answer #6

You’ve been out of this childs life for 11 years. Whether you were forced to give him up or not, you could really upset him espically if he doesnt know hes adopted. Im sure you realize now that a child is a big responsibility, and maybe you can get him back. If he has adopted parents, you cant have him, but if he doesnt, try try and try some more. Find a good lawyer and get to work, best of luck!

Answer #7

sweetheart:) you can’t get him back .

Answer #8

If he has adoptive parents you can’t get him back sweetheart, I’m sorry. However, before you lose all hope talk to a lawyer

Answer #9

If he is biologically yours or not, these people have likely paid tens of thousands of dollars to adopt him. They’ve been inspected by social services to be sure that they’re worthy parents. They’ve raised him as their own for 11 long years.

By now, he is well adapted and very happy with the only parents he’s ever known.

Don’t take that from him.
