I'm Worried My Mum Will Get Angry...

My mum has been getting suspicious about me joining this website. She’s been asking me a lot of questions, but I’m worried that she’ll see the photos of our family online and get angry. She’s okay about my niece being on bebo because the photos are privately kept, but I have a feeling she’s going to get really mad at me for showing my photos to everyone on Funadvice. I suppose it’s because she’s heard stories about chatrooms and people sending false photos of themselves, etcetera. Should I delete my family photos to avoid getting into trouble? I still want to keep my photo online, but she’ll probably get really cross about the other photos because I didn’t ask permission to put them on. Please help, because I don’t know what to do.

Answer #1

You really should delete the photos of your family if you think that they will not like it. It would show respect to your mother and family to ask them first.

Answer #2

well its safe as long as you don’t get lured into having a relationship online… that’s when things get all shades of weird… just assure her its all in good fun and you have no intent on befriending anyone on anything online… the best advice is assume everyone you talk to is fake, not who they think they are, I know that sounds a little extreme, but when that cute boy from across the world starts telling you how pretty you are, the SAFEST thing for you is just to politely accept the compliment and leave it at that…

Answer #3

If your mother doesn’t feel right about you putting your family photos on sites like this one, I’d say take the family photos down and just leave yours up. You can assure your mother that this site is fine and that no one is going to do anything. Just take the family photos down for respect of your mother and convince her that you’re not going to run into people who might harm you. This site won’t allow that.

Answer #4

yeah.. but if you want to keep it just assure her that its safe..

Answer #5
