Should I see the doctor again?

I’m 11 weeks pregnant and have a brown discharge for 2weeks. I have been 2 the doc.but he said i don’t need 2 worry. Do u think i must go 4 a 2nd opp.Its going 2 be my 1st baby

Hi,

Brown spotting is perfectly normal in early pregnancy. One reason for this type of spotting is called implantation bleeding. This occurs approx. 2 weeks after conception and 4 weeks since your last menstrual period. Another reason this could be happening is your body could be releasing old blood. Neither of these reasons are cause for concern.

If it turns to blood or clots then it’s time to go to the hospital or call your doctor.

However, if you are seriously concerned, getting a second opinion to ease your fears is completely warranted.
