I have 8mm gap, how to pay for braces with Medicaid?

This is so embarassing… Okay I’m 19 years old and I have this gap in between my two front teeth.

It’s quite severe being 8mm wide. [look at a ruler and you’ll see how bad it is] It affects my life as I am waaay too shy to talk to other people because it is so noticeable. It has actually made my life very bland and depressing because of everyone pointing and laughing. I can’t help it.

I have Medicaid as well… so how can I possibly get braces for the lowest price? Could I be accepted because of the situation being severe? I am just desperate because there is nothing else I could do.

Thank you. -Krystalynn

Yes, you can get it on medical aid. my brother got braces when he was 19 and we didn’t have money for the full price so the medical aid paid part of it.

go speak to your orthodontist to ask them what your options will be.

My son had had that and I never noticed – when he was in collage he went to a dentist and had it worked on. they do something to pull them together. I never noticed but to him it was not nice, yes dentist can pull them together.
