I don't know what to think or how to react

I have been seeing my boyfriend for about five to six months > and for the past 2-3 months we have been seeing each other everyday (with exception of two or three days because of work) I told him that maybe sometime down the line i may need time to myself like a break of two to three days > i think he went way over board when he thought i wanted to see other people> however one night i asked if i was going to see him the next day and he said of course but when i finished work that day i just wanted to go straight home > yesterday July 14 after work he wanted to pick me up and i told him that i wanted to go home, he seemed okay on the phone. Later that night he told me i was cold and and inconsiderate of his feelings. The following day he made me feel like i had hurt him so bad and he made it sound like i didn’t want to be with him anymore > we were discussing this the whole entire day> and i apaligized countless times! > i asked if things are still okay between us and he said it would take a while and through out are discussions he kept saying “ I’m not a coat”

My question is am i wrong or is he overreacting

Well you gotta understand some people are more emotional than others. When you kept on lets say cutting him short when he wanted to see you he probably felt you were tired of him or probably cheating on him. You were right for apologizing and he probably was taking it a little over board but you have to put yourself in his shoes and imagine how he felt. When you mean so much to someone sometimes all they could think of is you and they only want to be with you.
