When you have a ton of hair down there, things get stuck in the hair…like toilet paper, and some urine just stays on the hair until you wash.

I find it cleaner to keep it trimmed, waxed, or shaved.

If you keep yourself washed, use baby wipes after using the toilet etc. then there shouldn’t be any hygiene issue. It’s just hair. Are guys less hygienic if they have a beard? As long as you stay clean it’s not a problem. I personally don’t like the natural look on women, but if you’re comfortable with that then don’t decide to shave, wax or trim it for the reason of “hygiene”. It’s a load of bull

no, even if you shave off all your hair, that wont guatrentee your v@gina is clean, it can still get dirty and get infections and smell bad without hair. hair doesnt play much part in its hygeine, just as long as you wear clean underwear, practice safe sex and clean it in the shower it should be fine

im a female and I just started waxing my vagina for hygien reasons personally I think pubic hair on a female is nasty and totally unsanitary

this is purely a matter or personal choice. most males, and even a lot of females (as mentioned in previous answers) would agree that it looks a lot nicer and cleaner if you have a clean shave “down there”, however as long as you wash and keep up with proper cleansing methods, there shouldn’t be a hygiene problem! personally, id say it feels a lot better to shave and have little hair down there, but this is purely personal opinion!
