“I searched for you answer to this question but found none - only an attack on the messenger.”

Is this your “pat answer of the day”?

Answer #4

I think Obama is counting on a strong Democratic majority in Congress, in which case he’ll probably be able to push through most of his agenda.

Answer #5

Both Obama and McCain are making ridiculous promises they can’t possibly keep. That’s what presidential elections are all about - which candidate is the better liar.

Answer #6

amblessed, this is a great topic. Since Obama wants to cut taxes for 95 percent of the people, that isn’t right! he should cut taxes for all but no! he’s not going to do that. I’m not sure who would be funded since he’s focusing on the middle class. I oppose his plan and he’s so inexperienced on the economy or foreign policy.

Answer #7

He’s increasing taxes on the other 5%. That’s never really been a secret.

Answer #8

Haha, give it up Amblessed! Your “friend” John McCain is going to lose!!!

Answer #9

He also promises to reform or eliminate programs that don’t work. Neither candidate’s policies and proposals will come to fruition as they are laid out right now. It is congress that ultimately has to pass any of these things, and they will look very different than what is being put forward right now. I think Obama is smart enough, and untainted enough, to actually fight back against the special interests. He isn’t beholden to anyone but the american people, unlike McCain who has so many lobbyist involved in his campaign, he would wind up spending his first term just paying off the people and special interests that got him elected.

Answer #10

rasie taxes will just wrosen the economey and that is the wrong way too do it… now this dude I forgot who it is is say that they want to give out money again like president bush did half a year ago… that will make people move and get the economy up… I dont believe in obama I think he needs more experiance and he is proposing without a base without money… I got for MaCain how ever you spell his name

Answer #11

religionisgood, no offense, but the past is the past, I have to keep looking forward, I know things were done by the last administration that were a bit unreasonable, lets say, but what is done is done, lets repair or modify from where we are NOW, and I just think McCain’s experience as a senator would benifit this country more than obama’s…

Answer #12

this is the natural progression of the dems. because they have gotten away with TAX AND SPEND for so long they feel they can now SPEND AND THEN TAX. pay attention peeps, obama will most likely NOT cut taxes for 95 % of the people because if and when he spends the money, he’ll probably say that we need to be patriotic(( to coin a biden phrase ) and pay more taxes because these new programs, or this CHANGE this dope is talking about is going to come out of EVERYBODIES pockets. the only change an inexperienced administration could produce will be the change out of my piggy bank.

Answer #13

“this is the natural progression of the dems. because they have gotten away with TAX AND SPEND for so long they feel they can now SPEND AND THEN TAX.”

I would rather either of these over the GOP policies of BORROW AND SPEND and SPEND AND THEN BORROW.

“obama will most likely NOT cut taxes for 95 % of the people because if and when he spends the money, he’ll probably say that we need to be patriotic(( to coin a biden phrase ) and pay more taxes because these new programs”

And how do you know this? What are you basing this on?

Clinton balanced the budget, Obama can do it to. I have no delusions that Obama will deliver eeything he promises. No candidate does. But Obama is a brilliant guy who will figure it out. McCain, like Bush before him, were “C” students. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want a president who I am smarter than.

Answer #14

Yes amblessed, you know the top 5% who actually have most of the money?

“they want to give out money again like president bush did half a year ago… that will make people move and get the economy up”

given the economy has gotten worse since then, what are you basing this on?

Answer #15

I guess what I base my statement on , jimahl, is the fact that people who know a lot more about the economy than any of us here are questioning where all this money is going to come from for all of his proposed “changes”. I’m absolutely petrified of the thought of obama as president, and I could really just tolerate McCain, so , agreeing that NO candidate could possibly keep ALL of his promises, I’ll opt for the more logical choice, theone that makes fewer and more feasable promises, and so far , in my opinion, that man has been McCain…

Answer #16

“I guess what I base my statement on , jimahl, is the fact that people who know a lot more about the economy than any of us here are questioning where all this money is going to come from for all of his proposed “changes”.”

And have they been questioning where the Bush administration has been getting the money for its reckless spending over the last eight years, or no?
