How to tell my parents about my older boyfriend?
I’m 15 years old and I’m a sophmore in highschool. my boyfriend is a senior in highschool and he is 18. he wants to come over to my house and be introduced to my parents as my boyfriend. now I have never told my parents about any of my boyfriends so they dont believe I started dating yet and im kind of embarassed about telling them. also, I’m kind of worried about what they will think about his age. I mean, hes still in highschool and everything but he is also 18, which I believe I may be illegal. but before I introduce him to my parents, I plan on telling my parents beforehand that I am going to introduce them to my boyfriend. so how do I tell them about my older boyfriend?
I guess a high school sophomore and a high school senior are not that far apart after all. Your age difference shouldn’t be a serious issue as long you are not having sex with your boyfriend. I wouldn’t worry about telling your parents about your boyfriend. If they did not think this was a good idea, however, I would suggest discontinuing this relationship. Parents usually know what they’re talking about.
